Otis College of Art and Design 은 LA 지역에서 가장 오래된 명성 있는 예술 대학으로 4년 재 BFA program 을 Communication Arts, Digital Media, Environmental Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts 그리고 Toy Design 이렇게 6개의 전공으로 제공한다. Otis program의 주석이 되는 것은 1학년 “foundation” 이라고 불리는 기초 과정이다. 모든 전공 학생들은 drawing & composition, figure drawing, 2D & 3D design 등 기초적인 필수코스를 듣게 되며, 이는3학년에 올라가면서 본인이 선택한
전공에 전념할 수 있는 기본적인 실력을 갖추게 하기 위함이다.
Otis는 American Film Inst. 에서 공동 지원하여 마련한 디지털 디자인 랩 시설을 포함한 최첨단의 시설들을 갖추고 있으며, 현지 활동 중인 전임교수와 화려한 수상 경력을 가진 유명 예술인들의 교실이 연중 개설된다. 이와 같은 교수진들은 활기 넘치는 도전적인 교육으로 학생들의 학업 성취도를 높이고, 창조력의 발전을 위하여 믿음과 신뢰를 바탕으로 한 사제관계를 형성한다. Otis는 예술과 디자인 활동을 통하여 학생들이 그들의 창의력, 실력 그리고 비젼으로 이 세상을 풍요롭게 하도록 사회에 대한 책임감 또한 고무시킨다. 학부생과 교수비율은 15:1정도이다. 그리고 매해 파리와 런던으로 견학 방문 프로그램을 제공하고 있어 학생들의 견문을 높이는데 힘쓰고 있다.
