미국대학 전체 랭킹에서 50위 내에 포함되는 대학으로 한국유학생은 연간 200명선을 유지하며 미국 내 유학생 많은 대학 5위에 기록되어 있다. 아시아계 10%, 흑인과 남미계 8%를 기록하고 있다. 학교측에서 연간 유학생들에게 50~1백만 달러 이상의 장학금을 지급해 외국학생에게 장학금을 가장 많이 주는 대학으로 인식되고 있다. 학부유학생에게는 장학금혜택이 없다. 기숙사시설은 신입생에게는 보장되나 고학년이 될수록 교외에서 머물고 있다. 학생들이 밀집된 교외거주지인 Alston 은 방값이 기숙사보다 저렴하다. 그외 지역은 주거비나 생활비가 비싸다.
