1883년에 설립된 오베를란 컬리지는 각계 각층, 전세계의 유능한 학생들을 모집하고 있다. 오베를란은 크게 대략 2200명으로 구성된 college of Arts and Sciences와 600명 정도로 구성된 The Conservatory of Music 로 나뉘어진다. BA, BM을 제공하며 Double-degree program으로 5년과정으로 학위를 취득가능하다. 전국 흑인 음대 졸업생의 반이 오베를린 출신이며 전국에서 처음으로 흑인 전문 학교롤 만들었다. 1837년 오베를란은 미국에서 처음으로 공학학교로 승인되었다. 오베를린은 문화적, 경제적, 지리적 그리고 인종적으로 학생들에게 많은 기여를 하고 있다,. 각분야에서 3명의 노벨상 수상자와 6명의 맥아더 ‘Genius’ 수상자를 배출하기도 했다. 오베를란 컬리지는 클리블랜드 근처에 위치하며 무언가를 하기에 부족함이 없는 곳이다. 400개 이상의 콘서트와 리사이틀이 매해 개최되며, 매해 2편의 오페라를 무대에 올리며, 극단, 댄스 프로그램에서는 50편 이상의 작품을 선보인다.

Sample paper-length academic musical writing from each member of the ensemble. This should be a substantial paper from an undergraduate upper level Music Theory or Music History class.
Theory diagnostic exam (to be administered at the audition site)
Test scores not required but TOEFL is set at 100 for non-native speakers
Sample video recording, ideally from a live performance. This will not be used as a screening as much as to represent how the group presents itself.
